indie craft parade: last year's haul

indie craft parade is less than a week away! the VIP gala is friday, and i can't wait. they have something for everyone (guys, too!), and justin is coming with me this year. i really think he'll enjoy it! last year, they had the most delicious snacks, craft beer and coffee, a photo booth, and tattly tattoos (among other things). i can't wait to see what they have in store for us on friday. get all the details on what i picked up at last year's party after the jump.

discover the south and live the good life t-shirt

greetings from greenville post card

support your local print shop! dapper ink is located a hop, a skip and stone's throw away, over on wade hampton boulevard in the same shopping center as community tap and urban digs. it's definitely one of my favorite corners in greenville. in addition to doing some killer letter press designs, they also have the comfiest (and coolest) t-shirts around. check out their landmark series for more proof.

greenville, sc pint glasses

okay, so clearly these are not the glasses pictured above. if you can't tell from the photo, i have a lovely pair featuring the state of south carolina with a little heart over where greenville is located on the map. they are just precious, and they proudly sit out on display on my bar cart. sadly, i do not have the photography skills to do them justice yet. maybe i should have filled them with beer, and then they would have photographed better...oh well, you live and you learn. anyways! these little babies are from etchville, and you if you are into bicycles they also have cute pints and mugs with those, as well.

pink horseshoe        arrow necklace
                       juxtaposition           january jewelry

i didn't actually pick these up at indie craft parade last year, mainly because i didn't know what to expect. honestly, i didn't budget that much money for it because i had never been before, and i didn't know what kind of cuteness overload was waiting for me the minute i stepped through the door. so, i snagged these a few months later from artists i had eyed at the VIP gala. the necklace i got from january jewelry after meeting melissa at the best craft party ever; and the pink horseshoe is from juxtaposition, which i picked it up at the village market in west greenville. they also have a variety of awesome iron goods, like bottle openers and wall hooks.

on a final note, i will leave you with two pieces of advice if you're a first time indie craft parader: 1) budget more than you think! trust me, you're going to walk in there and want everything, and it's really difficult to narrow it down to a few items. 2) buy VIP tickets or get there early. not only is the VIP gala super fun and supports the show, but you get early access to all the vendors and their goods! wahoo! i thought that was great last year, and then i really saw the value of my investment in those tickets when i drove downtown the next afternoon. the line to get into the huguenot mill was wrapped around the block! so, i highly suggest you get there early or pack some extra deodorant/sunscreen if you are stuck out on the sidewalk. is it friday yet?!
