indie craft parade 2014: part 1

justin and i went to the indie craft parade VIP gala two friday nights ago, and it was awesome! my only regret is that i wish i had taken more photos...but alas, when you're bogged down with tiny paper shopping bags on both arms, three plates of hors d'oeuvre in one hand, and a beer in the other, all while trying not to spill said beer on the handmade goods, it's a little hard to whip out your camera.

that being said, i think my lack of pictures is a testimony to how good of a time the VIP party was! the food was amazing (tandem crepes, local beer and coffee, hummus plates, cheese dips, polenta and more!), and i love not having to worry about the vendors selling out. you can do a couple laps, take a turn at the photobooth, and then swing back around one more time and snag what really caught your eye. some vendors were even offering discounts at the gala (more on that later), and there were about 12 raffle prizes each valued at close to $100 or more. best of all, the proceeds from the tickets help keep indie craft parade going and keep entry costs down for the regular attendance...purchasing a gala ticket is hardly a sacrifice when you consider how much you're getting out of the experience. below, i've pulled together some pictures from the vendors i discovered at this year's parade. check em out!
