Weekend Edition: Greetings from Greenville

upstate, downtown

As you may or may not know, Justin and I have recently pitched camp in Greenville, SC (not to be confused with Greenville, NC).  Between his mom and sister coming down this past weekend and my parents coming down the week before, we've been doing quite a bit of tour guiding.  Greenville has an awesome downtown area that's within walking distance from our place that we absolutely love.  It's a gorgeous mix of refurbished brick warehouses and contemporary architecture that's bisected by the Reedy River.  Not only did the city planners made sure to incorporate plenty of green space (what must be a nod to the city's namesake) by building the Falls Park on the Reedy, but they also set aside subsided artist housing and studios as well.  Usually there's babies and puppies all over the park, but this weekend it was so chilly that it was pretty empty.  We ventured out despite the weather and got caught in the first (and maybe only) snow of the season.  Justin's mom got some great pictures, and I snagged a few shots with my iPhone   So without further ado, here's the latest from Greenville:
